About

We do one thing

Drugs Billing bills No-Fault, PIP, liens and workers' compensation for independent pharmacies in New York and New Jersey. Not medical billing with a pharmacy line, not software with a support desk. Accident and injury claims, worked daily, by people who do this all day.

Why we exist

An independent pharmacy fills the prescription, hands it over, and then has to fight for the money. On an accident claim it is worse, because the money does not come from a plan at all. It comes from an auto carrier, an attorney holding a settlement, or a comp board, and each one has its own form, its own window and its own reasons to say no. The NF-3 goes out late. The verification request is answered a week after it arrived. The lien balance is a number in somebody’s head until the case settles and it is too late to prove.

None of that is a knowledge problem. Pharmacists know exactly what went wrong on a denied claim. It is a time problem: the work is daily, it is unglamorous, and it loses every time it competes with a patient at the counter. So it gets batched, and batched work ages, and on a claim with a filing window, aged work is not worth less, it is worth nothing. That is the whole mechanism, and it is the one we are built around.

Who we are

Drugs Billing is the trading name of Rx Billing Inc, a US company. Contracts, the Business Associate Agreement and anything else you sign name Rx Billing Inc; the name on the door is Drugs Billing. They are the same business, and it is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to work it out from a footer.

How we work

We work inside the dispensing system you already run. Nothing is migrated, nothing is replaced, and your staff do not learn new software. The same billers handle your account every day and learn your payers, your prescribers and your exceptions, so you are talking to someone who knows your pharmacy rather than reading a ticket.

A Business Associate Agreement is signed before any access is granted, and access is limited to what the work needs. When an engagement ends, our access to your systems is removed and you get a documented handover of every claim and appeal still in flight.

What we will tell you straight

We will tell you what we think is recoverable and what is not. An aged claim past its timely-filing window is gone, and saying so on day one is worth more than a hopeful number in a proposal. We would rather quote you a real start date than a comfortable one, and we would rather report what actually moved than ask you to take the result on faith.

A named team, not a ticket queue

The same billers work your account every day and learn your payers, your prescribers and your exceptions. You know who to call and they know your pharmacy.

We work in your system

PrimeRx, BestRx, Rx30 and the other common dispensing systems. No migration, no new software for your staff to learn, no change to how a prescription gets filled.

HIPAA from the first conversation

A Business Associate Agreement is signed before any access is granted, not after the pilot. Access is limited to what the work needs and is removed when an engagement ends.

Rejections worked the same day

A rejection is worth the most on the day it arrives and least in ninety days. Same-day handling is the whole difference between a billing service and a report.
